High School Program :
The primary focus of the high school program is to fine tune already learned skills that will increase performance during competition. Participation is not limited to Newton residents only. The High School program will run from September through November.
Youth Program :
In the youth program your child will learn the basics of the sport in addition to developing self-confidence, discipline and good work ethic, through individual and peer training. The focus will be positive and fun as again, our primary emphasis is not to win every match, but to learn fundamental wrestling skills and develop a positive mental attitude that will carry our wrestlers to the next level. The Youth program will run from September through the end of February for grades 2-8 (2 sessions fall & winter). The program will consist of practices, special appearances, nutrition & conditioning, open mats, scrimmages, 2 guaranteed tournaments (winter session only) - additional tournaments may be attended.
Please contact Coach Randall at maddogwrestlingclub81@gmail.com if you have a wrestler younger than 4th grade, individual exceptions will be allowed based on experience and maturity.
Required Equipment : Tshirts/shorts for practice, wrestling shoes, head gear, mouth guard (required for wrestlers with braces). Singlets are for competition only. The club singlet will be distributed at the start of the winter session for tournament/scrimmage use. These are the property of the club, they are expensive and we ask that you take good care of them. Please return (cleaned) at the end of the spring session. Club singlet's may be purchased for $70

Winter - MON & WED - 11/26/12 - 02/13/13 - 6:30 PM - 8 PM (no practice on 12-24, 12-26, 12-31)
Cost for each session : $175.00 + $35 USAW annual membership fee (annual not per session)

Please Note: Winter Weather - practice cancellations due to inclement weather will be posted on Most Recent News section of the website. General policy - if Newton Public schools are cancelled due to imclement weather - Mad Dog practice will not be held.
